The Friends are undertaking a new major project to construct a new amphitheater. Donations will be accepted for benches along with major components of the equipment and stage.
This scenic gem on the shore of Lake Michigan offers a peaceful getaway. The park features wooded campsites, epic sand dunes, miles of sandy beach, hiking and biking trails, and cross-country ski trails. Kohler-Andrae is the perfect place to experience adventure and connect to nature.
The Friends of Kohler-Andrae State Park is a non-profit support organization dedicated to assisting the Department of Natural Resources at the parks. Members are dedicated to furthering the historical, educational, recreational, interpretive, and visitor service programs within the parks.

Things to Do

Hike
Hike the many trails in Kohler-Andrae State park, including The Creeping Juniper Nature Trail (0.5 mi.), The Dunes Cordwalk (2 mi.), the north trail is (0.5 mi), and the south trail is (1.5 mi), etc.

RENT A CAMPSITE
The park features 137 family campsites, 52 with electrical hookups, two group sites, and a cabin for campers with disabilities.

Visit the Nature Center
Visit the nature center in the northern area of the park amidst the dunes overlooking beautiful Lake Michigan to learn about the park's animals, plants, history and sand dunes.

Come to Our Events
We have many events throughout the year from hiking to naturalist talks to bird watching.
