Out with Invasives
Invasives Species abound, and the park needs your help! Grab your work gloves and help Phyllis, the Park Naturalist, remove invasive Honeysuckle. We’ll have loppers, clippers, bow saws, and some work gloves available. This work and learn opportunity is geared for folks ages 16 and up. We’ll work for an hour, then take a hike. Please RSVP at 920-451-4080, so we know how many tools to bring.
We suggest bringing water, sunscreen, and bug spray, and wearing long pants, long sleeves, and closed-toe shoes or hiking boots. Meet at the Black River Trails parking lot, P1. Please note that there are no bathrooms at this location. Vehicle admission is free for volunteers. Check in with a staff member when you arrive to get an admission pass if you don’t already have one.
